The End

This class certainly was helpful. I think that I learned a lot and it tested my resolve to finish. If I had to give my final advice to a group of students on what I learned from this course, it would be to live a life of meaning. If this course taught me anything, it was that I need to map out my life to put me on a path to happiness. That path is different for all of us. Some of us want to be entrepreneurs, some of us are just interested in it. Either way, we need to map out our lives and if we find out we are not on the right track, we need to slow down and change course, before it is too late.

If I was going to give any advice to someone starting on their own journey into entrepreneurship, I would say that they need to be prepared for loneliness and hardship. From the case studies, lots of people struggled. In fact, I think everyone struggled and faced extreme hardships at once point. Multiple people failed creating business, but their perseverance made them victorious in the end.

It’s funny that my advice is a lot like my caution, but I think it needs to be said. You have to be self aware of what you are good at and what you struggle at. Maybe entrepreneurship isn’t for you, maybe it is. But you need to know your weaknesses and vulnerabilities. We aren’t perfect, and we don’t know everything. That is ok. But if you start a business, hire people who complement you. Don’t do everything on your own, if you do, you could end up broke and alone. I think we are all in business for ourselves, but not by ourselves. Learn as much as you can and be humble.

Again, this course was helpful and I think I did learn a lot!
